Forecasters have said parts of the U.S. can expect frigid temperatures in December. A first round has arrived, and more cold air could be coming.
A cold weather advisory was issued by the NWS San Francisco CA on Wednesday at 5:46 p.m. valid for Thursday between midnight and 8 a.m. for Southern Salinas Valley/Arroyo Seco and Lake San Antonio and Monterey County.
Saranac Lake, N.Y., in the Adirondacks was the coldest place in the United States on Friday, recording a low of minus 22 degrees.
